In New York, we are surrounded by buildings, pollution, people and construction. Here, finding a natural spot is a breath of fresh air. Despite the momentary respite these parks and gardens provide, they too have been constructed.

My project is a collage focussed on Central Park: a seemingly untainted natural space that's actually a product of intense construction and gentrification.

In North Central Park, I focussing on capturing artifice amongst the greenery. Following that, I tried collaging parts of the park together.

Using watercolours, I tried to 'recreate' some of the photographs. These paintings appeared natural, but can not be separated from the artist as easily as constructed natural spaces.
